public class NotificationArea

The notification area is at the bottom of the application and consists of a progress bar and a label. Here we set the notifications to the user.

Method Detail

getInstance

public static NotificationArea getInstance(java.lang.String ident)

Returns the singleton instance of the notification area.

This is built as a singleton, because we can load this object everywhere within the application. The indent is used if you have more than one notification areas to use, i.e. if you have more than one frames in your application.

Parameters:

ident - Takes an ident for the notification area.

Returns:

The notification object instance.

clearMessage

public void clearMessage()

This removes any message from the notification area. It removes the given message.

setMessage

public void setMessage(java.lang.String msg)

Sets a message to the notification area. Users are responsible to clear the notification area when finished.

Parameters:

msg - The message to show.
